A man drinking from a glass bottle, with a trash can full of bottles behind him.
elderly man looking to the side, younger guy looking down, and a couple sitting by a table; by a dim light (left to right)

Martin is a young Chicano rocker living in Los Angeles. He has always lived at home and gotten pretty used to coexisting with his depressed and alcoholic father while presenting a more curated version of himself to the outside world. He’s even recently started dating Lynn, a young woman he met at one of the many backyard shows he goes to every weekend. But an unexpected and last-minute change to a pumpkin carving date with Lynn forces the reality of Martin’s situation to the forefront and makes him look at his life and his father from a new perspective.
