AFROFUTURA & CANDELA CANDELA Exhibit Virtual Tours

Check out the AFROFUTURA & CANDELA CANDELA Exhibits Virtual Tours made available through a collaboration with BRAAVE TRIBE COLLAB led by

Founder and Chief Go-Getter, Olga Chapman - Rivera. Identity is at the core of BRAAVE TRIBE COLLAB, the collaborative ecosystem company founded by Chapman Rivera in 2018.

AFROFUTURA, curated by Celso González Quiñones, PHLAFF's Alum and collaborator provides a current vision that recognizes our true transcendence and projects us without limits to the infinite possibilities of what we are, can be, and express. Today, we express ourselves through that knowledge, through our ancestral creative intelligence, in the present, with the awareness of creating a liberating future.

AFROFUTURA was the opening exhibit of ORI, a space dedicated to celebrating the power of creative thinking focused on justice and freedom. ORI was born from the Creative Justice Initiative cultural equity organization founded by Dr. Marta Moreno Vega.

ORI honors Afrocentric, creative, visionary thinking and its practice under an Afro-global aesthetic. ORI empowers us and prepares us for the future. In this crab space bequeathed by maroons and enslaved freedmen, ORI explores the various creative perspectives and ways in which Afrocentric, African, and Diaspora philosophies have framed world cultures.

CANDELA CANDELA curated by Juan Pablo Vizcaíno Cortijo, presents an intergenerational, multi-local, and multilingual meeting with the same intention, to highlight and protect the Afro-Caribbean culture and tell the true story of people of African descent, giving due value to the contributions of people of African descent living in Puerto Rico, New York and in all regions of the Afro-centered world. CANDELA CANDELA commemorates CORREDOR AFRO's four-year anniversary.

CORREDOR AFRO investigates, documents, protects, and shares the wealth and ancestral intelligence of people of African descent and the African diaspora in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, and the world. We provide services to our communities, as well as to international institutions and associations. We are a platform that links the Afro-Boricua, Afro-Caribbean culture, and the Afro-centric point of view with the self-management and sustainable development initiatives of local enterprises.

Enjoy the virtual tours and check out these amazing artists, organizations, and their work!
