Confluence: Earthly Films For Philadelphia
We're kicking off Confluence: Earthly Films for Philadelphia on Friday, April 19 at Cherry Street Pier! Join us for a happy hour at 5:30 p.m., then enjoy two films by Bilal Motley, curated by @cinespeak. "Trash and Burn" explores the 30-year struggle led by Zulene Mayfield in Chester, PA, against the United States’ largest trash incinerator, highlighting severe cases of environmental racism. "Midnight Oil" follows Bilal's journey as a former steelworker at the area’s largest oil refinery, and his awakening to the environmental justice fight in surrounding communities. Don't miss the panel discussion following the films. See you there: bit.ly/confluencefilmfest
